Innovative Aquatic Design, LLC is an aquatic engineering firm specializing in the design and engineering of recreational and competitive swimming pools, aquatic parks and water features. Utilizing the most current products and construction technologies, Innovative Aquatic Design, LLC provides state of the art designs in conjunction with Architects, Owners and Engineers for both new construction and renovation of existing facilities.

Innovative Aquatic Design, LLC associates have been involved in the design of over 1,000 aquatic facilities during the past 30 years. Innovative designs are employed in the process of solving problems while minimizing costs.

Practical experience allows us to provide economic designs and accurate budgets. Unless specific equipment is requested by the owner, specifications are non-proprietary thereby providing quality products at a reasonable cost. The function of the facility such as fitness, instruction, competition, recreation or all of the above is addressed by obtaining input from the facilities operators. Safety and functionality are as important as aesthetics. When designing water playgrounds the most novel slides and interactive water features are incorporated into every design.

Jim Lueders, President of Innovative Aquatic Design, LLC has worked in the swimming pool industry since 1972, having been involved in not only the design but also the construction of well over a thousand aquatic facilities of all types and sizes.

In the last ten years, Jim has provided design services to Architects for at least 30 Park District water parks. Jim assisted in the development of a modular system for construction stainless steel swimming pools which are ideal for hi-rise construction, eliminating problem leaks. Also, Jim is a member of the National Spa and Pool Institute and the World Water park Association.
